Dart is a dark slate and white male who is six years of age. I
bred Pam to Don, a litter brother to Bonnie. Don and Bonnie were out of Blue,
my foundation bitch for my second bloodline. Dart was
a first cross out of my two bloodlines.
He was an absolute natural at herding. He began to herd
at the age of twelve weeks. He would race down the drive,
go under the fence, and work a bunch of Scottish Blackface rams
(kept across the bank from me) in a very stylish, steady,
controlled manner. Although I have had other pups keen to work
at an early age, it was his controlled manner that made him
stand out.
Everyone that comes to my place, having
to do with dogs, seems to fall in love with Dart. He just
seems to have some indefinable ingredient in his makeup.
He is a very stylish dog when working, and he
has a very nice temperament. This is essential to me as I
have two young children who are very keen on the dogs.
Because I live in a rural area, my dogs need
to be chained to their kennels. This is a common practice among
working dogs of all breeds in the U.K.

Dart is showing some of his old coat, which is
dead hair, and falling out. The reddish colour is showing
through his coat which came down from one of his grandfathers.
